Field management of melons

Melons are delicious, nutritious, and are melons that many people like. Melon growth is liked at a suitable temperature, suitable humidity, and good daylight conditions. The quality of field management in melons has a direct impact on the quality and output of melons. Therefore, we must manage them carefully. We can proceed from the following aspects:

First, the density of planting: the density of melon colonization depends on the species, Elizabeth's plant spacing can be about 50 cm, and some large melon varieties such as yellow planting spacing can be about 60 cm, row spacing can be 70-80 cm. After the melon planting, the permeable seed should be poured in time so that the seedlings can enter the normal growth stage in time.

Second, pruning management: When the seedlings grow to 6-7 leaves, we must promptly remove lateral buds to avoid nutrient consumption; when the plant grows to 13-15 leaves, leaving three fruit branches per plant; equal length to 25 leaves To be topped and leave one under the top leaves for the second one.

Third, the use of hormones: 13-15 in the day before the flowering leaves, we must use strong fruiting spirit dip. Generally, when the temperature in the greenhouse is above 25°C, a strong sitting fruit can water 2 pounds of flowers, and the use concentration of the strong fruit setting depends on the temperature in the greenhouse, the melon varieties and the growth of the plants. When the temperature is low, the use concentration must be increased accordingly. It is best to leave two flowers per plant and remove the rest. When the melon grows to the size of an egg, choose a melon with a nice shape, a small flower top and a long stalk, and remove the other one. Within 10 to 14 days after fruit set, it is best to use dipsticks to prevent empty fruit.

IV. Irrigation and Fertilizer Management: Watering should be done in time after ration. Theoretically, 4 kg of water must be supplied for every 1 kg of melon produced, so water should be enough. At the same time should also be with the fertilization of water, usually 40-50 kg of soybean meal organic fertilizer or humic acid fertilizer, improve the level of nutrition.

5. Bagging management: When the melon grows to the size of the goose after the melon, the flowers and flower needles left on the head of the melon should be removed (to avoid the occurrence of rotten melon when the humidity is high), and then a sterile bag is used to increase Melon table luminosity, improve quality.

Sixth, temperature management: The temperature is not well controlled, the yield of melon will be greatly affected. After fruiting, the melon temperature during the whole growth period is divided into three stages: early (about 10 days after fruit set) temperature is generally 28-32 °C during the day, can not be too high or too low; medium (10-20 days after fruiting, ie Melon rapid growth period) General daytime temperature is maintained at 30-33 °C; late (ie 20 days after fruit set to maturity) daytime temperature should be controlled within 29 °C, and to maintain a certain temperature difference between day and night, in order to increase sugar content and yield.
