Citrus fruits are prone to cracking in the period from June to September before they are harvested. The main reasons are the rapid growth of fruits, excessive fruit set, and unreasonable cultivation techniques.
To prevent citrus cracking, take the following measures:
Keep the soil moist and enter the high temperature period to loosen the soil from the tree trays, then apply the water and fertilizer, and then cover the tree tray with weeds, green manure or other weeds, which will help maintain water and soil and reduce nutrient loss.

The top-dressing fertilizer is applied during the fruit enlargement period, and when it is not raining for a long time, spray 0.4%-0.5% urea or 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, or 0.1%-0.15% fenfencarb aqueous solution, etc. to stimulate the growth of the skin and make the peel.
