How to eat native products in the Spring Festival
Vacuum-packed foods can also breed bacteria
With the development of disinfection and preservation technology, some of the more easily and easily damaged special products are also more portable and can be stored for a long time, such as vacuum-packed meat and so on. However, although vacuum-packed meat is isolated from the air, long-term storage can still breed bacteria.
Vacuum packaging may provide a good living environment for some anaerobic bacteria. Once anaerobic bacteria grow in vacuum-packed food, it may cause food poisoning. For example, there is a type of bacteria called Listeria. In the vacuum-packed oxygen-free environment, these bacteria are more than 100 times higher than in the air. And many of these bacteria can reproduce at low temperatures, leading to food corruption in the refrigerator.
General vacuum-packed meat products have a shelf life of 20 days at room temperature and can be stored for 2 weeks in a refrigerator at 4 degrees Celsius, and for one or two months in a freezer at minus 18 degrees Celsius. Therefore, native products brought back should be eaten as soon as possible even if they are vacuum-packed to avoid food corruption.
Dried fruit is more difficult to preserve
Faced with specialty products brought back from home after the Spring Festival, we may all be divided into categories. For example, fruit and meat are more likely to be bad and should be eaten or given away as early as possible; while dry goods can be stored for a long time, it is better to keep eating slowly. In fact, many dry goods are easily broken, such as dried fruits with high fat content.
Zuo Xiaoxia said that although dried fruits are dry goods, they are generally not preserved. Coupled with the high fat content of nuts, it is easy to be oxidized in the air, that is, we commonly known as a Hacha taste. In addition, dried fruit may also be mildewed in wet conditions. Mildew-producing molds and oxidation-generated oil oxides are all harmful to the body and promote aging.
Generally, dried fruits may be vacuum-packed when transported in large amounts, which can isolate oxygen to a certain extent, prevent the oxidation of fat in dried fruits, and also inhibit the growth of bacteria. However, due to the unrestricted storage conditions in the sales process, the dried fruit may also deteriorate. However, there are often no professional storage conditions at the time of preservation in the home, and it is more likely that dried fruits will be deteriorating and moldy. In the preservation of dried fruit, should be treated differently according to the type of dried fruit. For intact fruit shells, undamaged dried fruit can be stored for a longer period of time.
However, in order to facilitate consumption, many dried fruit shells have been artificially broken to protect them before leaving the factory. The nuts are exposed to the air, so that even dried fruits that do not appear to be easily deteriorated will be mildewed and moldy under humid and hot conditions. .
For dried fruits brought home, if they cannot be eaten in a short period of time, they should be packed into small bags and placed in moisture-proof bags and stored in refrigerators or freezers.
