3. Working principle of turbine flowmeter: When the gas enters the flowmeter, it first passes through the special structure of the leading fluid and accelerates. Under the action of the fluid, because the impeller blade and the fluid flow direction form a certain angle, the turbine generates the turning moment at the turbine. After the customer's resistance torque and friction torque start to rotate, when the moments reach equilibrium, the speed is constant, and the turbine rotation speed is linear with the flow rate. The speed of the impeller is decelerated by a pair of gears, while a sealed magnetic coupling transmits the rotation to a mechanical counter external to the meter. Using the principle of electromagnetic induction, the magnetic flux is periodically changed by the rotating tip of the impeller blade, so that a pulse signal proportional to the volume flow of the fluid is induced at both ends of the coil, and the frequency of the pulse signal is measured to obtain the flow rate. The turbine flow meter is used with a flow computer (or integrated calculator). The flow computer has pulse, temperature and pressure detection channels and is equipped with various communication interfaces.

Turbine flowmeter installation
- Before installing the turbine flow meter, the gas pipeline should be clean, free of water, dirt and welding slag. These impurities can damage the impeller blades and mechanical parts. When the measured medium is unclean, a filter should be added.
- The turbine flowmeter is sensitive to the flow velocity distribution distortion and the swirling flow in the pipeline. Therefore, it is necessary to equip the straight pipe section of the necessary length according to the upstream resistance type. Generally, the upstream section should have the length of the straight pipe section of the shortest 10D, and the downstream should have the straight pipe section of the shortest 5D. Length (D is the nominal diameter of the flowmeter). If there are complex chokes such as cyclones, space joints, and pressure regulators upstream of the flowmeter, the rectifier should be installed at the 5D upstream of the flowmeter.
- The flowmeter should be installed horizontally to avoid vertical installation. If there is water or gas in the pipeline, the flowmeter piping should be inclined so that the liquid can flow out of the flowmeter. If the flowmeter is installed vertically, the flow of fluid should be downward. of.
- Ensure that the flow direction of the fluid is consistent with the direction of the arrow on the instrument housing and must not be reversed.
- The measured medium should not be corroded by the turbine, especially at the bearing, otherwise measures should be taken.
Turbine flow meter activation
- The instrument equipped with the oil pump fills the oil chamber with oil before use and fills the oil according to the cycle requirements; the turbine flow meter without the oil pump does not need maintenance.
- Before commissioning, check whether the turbine flowmeter verification certificate and the flow meter of the supporting instrument are consistent with the meter coefficient setting.
- Start-up specifications for turbine flowmeters. Note that during operation, high-speed pressurization that is violently oscillated or too fast can damage the flowmeter.

- Check its safety and operating status regularly. If there has been excessive pressure and the device has been vibrating abnormally or otherwise very dirty, the turbine flow meter must be inspected.
- Regularly check the pulse frequency value of the matching flow computer.
- For the inspection of the impeller, the inspection of the impeller can be carried out by removing the sensor or dead plug, and turning the impeller to determine whether the rotation is flexible and whether there is a broom phenomenon. Note: Moving the sensor probe will damage the flowmeter's seal.
