If there is gas in the heating and cooling system, the system is prone to generate air resistance, resulting in poor circulation of the local or the whole system, resulting in the heating system not being hot and the refrigeration system not being cold. At the same time, due to the oxygen contained in the water, the heating (refrigeration) equipment, pipes and steel radiators are corrosive, causing perforation and water leakage. The presence of gas in the system can also cause corrosion of the pump, directly affecting the safety of the entire system. The vacuum degasser adopts a vacuum degassing method to quickly remove free gas and dissolved gas in the system, so that the system can operate safely and reliably.

Vacuum degasser working principle

According to Henry's law, the solubility of a gas in water is related to water temperature and pressure. At a certain temperature, it is proportional to the pressure of the gas; under a certain pressure, the water temperature decreases, the solubility of the gas increases, the water temperature increases, and the gas solubility decreases. When the pressure on the water surface is lowered, the gas dissolved in the water can be precipitated at a lower water temperature to remove the gas in the water. The vacuum degasser releases the free gas and dissolved gas in the water by generating a vacuum, and then discharges the system through an automatic exhaust valve, and the degassed water is injected into the system. These low-volume waters are unsaturated waters that are highly absorbent to the gas and will absorb the gases in the system to achieve a gas-water balance. The vacuum degasser repeats such a cycle every 20 to 30 seconds. This cycle is repeated to remove all gases from the system.
