Professor Weijing Wei of the East China Normal University School of Life Sciences has now developed a new technology for the extraction of seabuckthorn fruit residue using a one-step method for the extraction of biotechnology. Using this technology, available substances such as seabuckthorn flavonoids and seabuckthorn polysaccharides can be extracted again from the seabuckthorn fruit residue after oil extraction. According to researchers, seabuckthorn is a plant with a variety of valuable economic uses, mainly in the northwest of China. In addition to seabuckthorn fruit can be processed into beverages, jams and other foods, its fruit oil in medicine for high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, stomach ulcers and burns, frostbite, etc. have a significant effect, but also the production of skin care cosmetics raw materials; seabuckthorn peel, pulp, fruit Oils and juices contain a variety of pigments, which can be used as food and drug dyes after extraction. Among them, β-carotene is an important source of vitamin A. Seabuckthorn leaves and twigs are rich in tannins, and are found in food and chemical industries. There are important uses. Therefore, the cultivation and processing of seabuckthorn has become one of the main industries for economic development in arid and semi-arid regions in northern China. However, due to the low level of overall processing of seabuckthorn in China, the research on its comprehensive utilization has yet to be strengthened. In particular, the level of deep processing is relatively backward, resulting in the waste of a large amount of raw materials. The results were extracted using a one-step method to extract biotechnology, and the available substances such as seabuckthorn flavonoids and seabuckthorn polysaccharides were extracted again from the oil residues of seabuckthorn fruit after oil extraction. Experiments have shown that 2.4% of flavonoids and 1% of seabuckthorn polysaccharides can be extracted per 100 grams of seabuckthorn fruit residue. The seabuckthorn flavonoids extracted from sea buckthorn fruit residue are more than 20% effective in hypoglycemic, which can prevent the formation of glycation end products. Therefore, there are potential therapeutic prospects for preventing the occurrence and treatment of chronic diabetic complications, and prevent hardening of the arteries. Seabuckthorn flavone also has an inhibitory effect on breast cancer cells. Seabuckthorn polysaccharide has a certain therapeutic effect on type 2 diabetes. At present, East China Normal University has cooperated with Inner Mongolia Yuhangren High-tech Industry Responsibility Co., Ltd. to build a production line for extracting seabuckthorn flavonoids and seabuckthorn polysaccharides from seabuckthorn fruit residues in Hohhot, and plans to plant more than 180 million mu of seabuckthorn and production line production capacity in Inner Mongolia. All standards are estimated, the annual output value is expected to be more than 600 million yuan. Digital statistics indicate that there are more than 200 various types of seabuckthorn processing enterprises in the country, with more than 200 kinds of products, an annual output value of more than one billion yuan, and annual profits and taxes exceeding 100 million yuan. Relevant experts pointed out that this new technology will allow wastes from golden yellow seabuckthorn fruit to be turned into waste after the oil is squeezed. At the same time, through industrialization, it can effectively promote local economic development and speed up the development of China's seabuckthorn demonstration project. Promote, increase farmers' income, but also contribute to the sustainable development of the western region.
