Korea developed flexible electronic skin
The Seoul National University research team announced that they have developed a software robot using a simulated skin electronic skin system. The research was published in the May 30 international academic journal Science Robotics.
The surface of the software robot developed by Seoul National University is made of soft material made of rubber or silicone, and the parts are organically connected without clear boundaries. The two electronic skins are connected to each other via a wireless communication network, and the working range is more than 5 meters. Electronic skin can be easily removed or pasted, so a pair of electronic skin can be applied to various software robots.
The research team explained that if the electronic skin is regarded as a portable wearable device, the communication between people and the manipulation of the robot can be freely performed.
