Feeding young ducks should pay attention to

Young ducks refer to bred ducks that have not been produced. Ducks at this stage have two things to avoid during the feeding process:

A bogey diet has high protein content.

During this period, the gonads in the duck body sprout and the sex organs develop rapidly. If the diet contains too much protein feed (such as: fish meal, blood meal, bean cake, etc.), the development of gonads is accelerated, and premature puberty is promoted, causing premature aging, and laying time. Not lasting, the egg production performance is reduced. During this period, more roughage and green juicy feed can be fed to prevent premature sexual maturation.

Second avoid feeding granular feed.

Feed for young ducks is best all fed with mixed powder. Add appropriate amounts of chopped vegetables and aquatic herbs before feeding and mix them into wet materials to feed them. Do not feed whole or half grain corn, sorghum, etc. Because the pellets can stimulate appetite, it is easy to cause the young ducks to be overweight, which is unfavorable for their subsequent production.
